COLUMBUS, Ind. – Founded in 1989, the Festival of Lights (FOL) Parade is an annual holiday parade that winds its way through downtown Columbus on the first Saturday of December. The 2019 parade is this Saturday, December 7, beginning at 6 p.m.
Typically, it is the largest parade each year in the city with around 100 floats. The only requirement is that every entree must have lights. Sixth-grader, Annabelle Andrus, from Taylorsville Elementary School, is the Grand Marshall.
It is a full evening of family entertainment as the FOL Parade will be followed by QMIX Christmas Musical Fireworks, beginning about 10 minutes after the end of the parade
Volunteers are still needed for this weekend’s event. To volunteer, or for parade guidelines and more information, please email columbuslights@gmail.com.
