COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Bartholomew County man is in custody after he reportedly attacked two people with a knife during an argument outside of a house on Sunday evening. The Columbus Police Department (CPD) was dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of Chestnut Street at around 8:45 p.m., in regards to a disturbance.
Once officers arrived, they spoke to two adults who alleged they were cut in the stomach with a knife during an argument with Eddie Brown, 57, of Columbus. Paramedics treated them for injuries that were not life-threatening.
CPD later located Brown near 11th and California Streets and he was arrested after supposedly being involved in a short scuffle with officers.
Brown is facing preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement.
