JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. – Joshua Hartwell, 35, formerly of North Vernon and now living in Seymour, was arrested last Thursday for failure to register as a sex offender.
Lt. Adam Nicholson of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, who oversees the sex offender registry, received information early last week that Hartwell had moved to Jackson County from Jennings County in early November.
Nicholson investigated and found that Hartwell was living at an apartment in Jackson County, just north of Seymour, on U.S. 31. Hartwell was located at the apartment complex and was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.
Law enforcement says he is required to report his address change within 72 hours of moving.
