COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) arrested Jennifer Jeffries, 39, of Columbus, for drugs on Saturday after her vehicle was pulled over for a missing taillight.
CPD stopped Jeffries near 11th and Sycamore Streets and requested a police canine to the scene that alerted to the smell of narcotics inside the car. While searching the vehicle, police say that they found marijuana and methamphetamine inside.
Jeffries was taken into custody and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, and possession of meth.
