INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis says a Winter Weather Advisory continues today and tonight for some residents in south-central Indiana, while a Winter Storm Warning has been issued for other areas until 7 a.m. Tuesday. More snow is expected through Tuesday morning, possibly mixing with freezing rain at times.
The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Bartholomew, Jackson, Jennings, Brown, Decatur, and Monroe Counties, which can expect an additional one to three inches of snow on Monday with light ice accumulations possible.
A Winter Storm Warning has been declared for Johnson and Shelby Counties. In addition to what is already on the ground, an additional three to four inches of moderate-to-heavy snow is expected on Monday and Monday night. Light ice accumulations are also a possibility.
NWS says that you should plan on slippery and snow-covered road conditions that will likely impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
