COLUMBUS, Ind. – Once the holiday season ends, Columbus residents who bought a real Christmas tree need to find the best way to dispose of it. The city has announced that it will pick up trees for most of January.
Crews will begin the program starting on December 26, and continue to do so until January 24. Residents should set their old tree curbside the same day as regular trash collections. Call-ins will not be accepted.
City officials remind that to be collected, trees must be free of hooks, ornaments, stands, and nails.
