INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is directing flags in Seymour and Jackson County to be flown at half-staff to honor former Seymour Mayor John Steele Burkhart, who passed away last Friday. Burkhart held the office of mayor from 1990 to 2003.
Flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset today, Wednesday, December 18, the day of his funeral.
