SEYMOUR, Ind. – Thefts from cars in the Seymour area have become commonplace in the last couple of weeks as dozens of these crimes have been reported. The Seymour Police Department believes two or three people are working together breaking into vehicles.
Authorities say residential areas in the south and west parts of town have been targeted. Investigators say the perpetrators seem to always work at night. Law enforcement has videos of the alleged thieves shining a flashlight through windows of cars and then opening unlocked doors to steal electronics and other valuables that might be inside. One of the suspects is pictured here.
Keep your vehicle locked. Police say that in every reported theft, the car had been unlocked. If you have any information about this case, call the Seymour Police Department at 812-522-1234.
