CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Duke Energy has implemented additional steps to protect its customers and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The energy giant announced that it will not disconnect any customer’s service for non-payment, in order to give customers experiencing financial hardship extra time to make payments. The company will continue to read meters and send bills. Duke Energy suggests that you pay what you can to avoid building up a large balance.
Some employees have also been asked to work at home.
