SEYMOUR, Ind. – As businesses across the state are having to shut their doors because of the coronavirus outbreak, the Seymour Chamber of Commerce is trying to help during these challenging times. The chamber announced the launching of the Business Economic Recovery Team (BERT), which will assist and support local businesses throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
BERT is comprised of government, business and professional organization representatives from Jackson County. It serves as a single resource of information and support for local businesses experiencing negative impacts during the crisis.
“The COVID-19 event is primarily a health crisis at this stage, but our local businesses are already experiencing significant negative pressure. We want to ensure that Jackson County businesses have access to all of the resources, grants and other funding opportunities that will be available to aid in their recovery,” said Chamber President Dan Robison.
