TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The German Township Volunteer Fire Department (GTVFD) and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a three-vehicle accident, at County Road 550N and US 31, late Monday afternoon. One person had been ejected from a car.
GTVFD Deputy Chief Goodin advised that six people were injured, with one unresponsive, and requested more ambulances, a lifeline helicopter, and the Edinburgh Fire Department to respond to the crash, south of Taylorsville.
IU Health Lifeline transported one occupant to a Level 1 trauma center in Indianapolis. Emergency personnel said two victims were transported to Columbus Regional Health and three others were treated and released at the scene.
