
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced on Thursday that 611 new Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19. The total in Indiana has now reached 9,542 residents known to have the coronavirus.
An additional 41 fatalities have also been confirmed by the ISDH as the toll reached 477 on Thursday. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by ISDH and have occurred over multiple days. Over 50,000 people in Indiana have now been tested for the virus, an increase of nearly 3,000 in the last 24 hours.
Marion County once again showed a large increase in cases of the disease, moving its total to 3,320. Bartholomew County increased to 116 positive COVID-19 cases, Jackson County has 77, Jennings County reports 63, and Johnson County has 358 confirmed cases.
