
COLUMBUS, Ind. – The number of Coronavirus cases continues to grow in Indiana. According to the latest update from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), 11,686 Hoosiers have been confirmed with COVID-19 since the first case was reported in early March. ISDH authorities say that seven new deaths were reported on Sunday, bringing the number of Indiana fatalities to 569.
Marion County has now had 5,052 residents who have contracted the disease. Bartholomew County has 140 cases, Jackson County confirms 89, Jennings County reports 64, and Johnson County has 426.
Gov. Holcomb announced last Friday that he is extending the state’s stay-at-home order until May 1.
