JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Jackson County Fair Board announced Wednesday that it had decided to not have this summer’s county fair. “After much research, the Jackson County Fair Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Jackson County Fair,” said board members in a statement released Wednesday. The fair was scheduled for July 26 through August 1.
The 4-H Exhibition, usually held at the Jackson County Fair, will be moving to a virtual format this summer.
In its statement the fair board added, “Rest assured that these decisions were not easy to make and were not made without a great deal of thought and research.”
