
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) released data on Thursday showing that 970 new Hoosiers were diagnosed with coronavirus during the 24-hour period ending Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.
It is the second-highest one-day total for the state since statistics were initiated in early March. There have now been 65,253 residents infected with the disease.
An increase of 13 deaths was also reported by ISDH, upping Indiana’s overall fatality toll to 2,746.
Bartholomew County has recorded 715 cases of COVID-19, Jackson County documents 539, Jennings County confirms 203, and Johnson County verifies 1,600 cases of the virus.
