COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus City Utilities says a Boil Water Advisory is now in effect for customers in the area of 8th and Chestnut Streets. The alert is a precautionary measure that is necessary because of a shutdown associated with emergency pipe repairs.
Customers are asked to temporarily boil cooking and drinking water for five minutes and continue to do so until the water in the area has passed laboratory testing.
Officials at Columbus City Utilities say that customers will be notified once the boil order is lifted.
