COLUMBUS, Ind. – This week, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is beginning the process of excepting bids for body cams that were recently approved for its deputies by Bartholomew County officials.
BCSO’s leadership team and county IT personnel are meeting with body camera vendors and discussing their products. They hope to make a decision soon.
Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers said, “I want to again extend my thanks to the Bartholomew County Council, Dana Vogt, BCSO Major Chris Lane, Capt. Brandon Slate, Sgt. Jim Stevens. and our Bartholomew County Commissioners for stepping up to make this project happen.”
