
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced on Thursday that 1,051 more Hoosiers were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the 24 hours ending Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. It is a daily high for the state since statistics started being kept five months ago.
An additional six deaths were also recorded by ISDH, pushing the state’s fatality toll to 2,811.
Since early March, there have been 804,345 Indiana residents who have been tested for COVID-19 with 71,015 having contracted the virus for an 8.8% positivity rate.
Bartholomew County has verified 754 cases of the disease, Jackson County confirms 562, Jennings County has had 215, and Johnson County confirms 1,694 cases of coronavirus.
