INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) says that Bartholomew County’s unemployment rate has dropped for the third consecutive month, to 6.8% in July.
Bartholomew County reported a 10.6% unemployment rate in June. The latest update shows that the county has a lower rate than the state average of 7.9%.
DWD says statistics show the unemployment rate for Johnson County at 6.3%, Jennings County at 6.9%, and Jackson County coming in at 6.6%.
