NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to St. Anne’s Golf Course in North Vernon on Friday evening after an airplane made an emergency landing at the course. The pilot safely landed the plane on one of the golf course’s fairways when it began experiencing mechanical issues.
JCSO said the emergency landing took place shortly after takeoff from North Vernon Municipal Airport, which is not far from St. Anne’s Golf Course.
Neither the pilot nor anyone on the ground was injured. The plane is a single-engine Cessna registered to Nicholasville, Kentucky. The FAA will investigate.
