COLUMBUS, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor RAM Construction Services will begin deck overlay work as early as Monday, June 14, on the U.S. 31 bridge over Clifty Creek in Bartholomew County.
INDOT says the project is scheduled to take place in two phases, both of which will restrict traffic to one lane in each direction through mid-July, weather permitting.
On Monday, the southbound lane of U.S. 31 closes leaving one travel lane for both directions on the northbound side. In late June, the northbound lane closes and the southbound side is the travel lane. Watch for flaggers.
County Road 50N will remain open during construction.
