FRANKLIN, Ind. – It was 15 years ago today, July 24, that a tragedy shook the Johnson County community. Chynna Dickus, 26, and her stepson Blake Dickus, 10, were brutally murdered at the stepmother’s home in Franklin. The men and women of the Franklin Police Department (FPD) continue to dedicate themselves to solving this crime.
The FPD Investigations Division has partnered with dozens of local, state, and federal law enforcement professionals in the quest to bring the responsible person or persons to justice. Investigators are certain that there is someone who holds the key to this case.
