INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Police (ISP) was called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on northbound I-65, near Raymond Street, on Tuesday, at around 7:30 a.m. A pick-up truck had rolled off a bridge and two people were ejected and another trapped inside.
When emergency responders arrived they located two teens on the ground, both with serious injuries, and a third juvenile entrapped in the wreckage. After being treated at the scene, they were taken to local hospitals.
The two individuals ejected were Kya Lasley, 17, and Megan Murray, 17, both of Trafalgar. The girl extracted from the truck was 10-year-old Keilyn Stauffer.
The preliminary ISP investigation indicates that a Dodge pick-up truck, driven by Kasley, reportedly sideswiped a GMC pick-up while changing lanes. After the initial crash, the Dodge hit a guardrail and then a concrete barrier before overturning and landing on a city street below.
Driver Lasley and front-seat passenger Murray were ejected. Neither was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the GMC was not injured.
