COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) has announced that beginning October 24, it will increase the minimum starting wage to $15 an hour throughout the organization. Employees with minimum pay rates that are currently below $15 an hour will be adjusted to a new minimum of $15 or greater.
CRH says the increase serves to support existing workers and remain competitive in recruiting new hires.
The minimum wage adjustment will directly affect more than 580 employees and result in a $1.7 million additional annual investment in the workforce.
“Columbus Regional Health is committed to a compensation philosophy that recruits, rewards, retains, and motivates talented team members,” said CRH CEO Jim Bickel. “It is one of the benefits, among other programs, we use to attract and retain the talent and skills we need to serve our patients.”
