COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) arrested a Bartholomew County man on drug charges after he was stopped for a minor traffic violation on Sunday evening. Officers stopped a vehicle driven by Zackary Torres, 20, of Columbus, at around 7 p.m.
While speaking with the suspect, police say they detected the odor of marijuana inside his car. CPD searched the vehicle and allegedly found an electronic smoking device, two digital scales, and cocaine in the center console.
Torres was taken into custody, jailed, and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
