COLUMBUS, Ind. – Officials on the 2021 Dorel Juvenile Group Festival of Lights Parade committee say that slots for the holiday event are almost gone. The parade returns this year on December 4 in downtown Columbus after being postponed in 2020 because of coronavirus.
Entries started being accepted two weeks ago and now all positions are expected to be gone before Halloween. With the parade limited to 75 floats this year, the committee urges your organization to reserve your space now.
In addition to fewer entries this year, other changes include social distancing being enforced at all parade operations, plus participants/attendees being required to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines recommended by local health officials and the CDC. Public safety is the committee’s top concern.
