COLUMBUS, Ind. – Two wanted persons were arrested Monday evening by the Columbus Police Department (CPD) after officers observed them acting suspiciously inside a vehicle near 9th Street Park.
Police took into custody Kaylee Shuffitt, 27, and Jeffrey Watts, 44, both of Columbus, at around 6:20 p.m., after confirming warrants for their arrests.
While searching Watts’ clothing, the officers allegedly found several baggies containing methamphetamine and marijuana, along with drug-related items and several pills.
Shuffitt was arrested for a Bartholomew County warrant. Watts is facing preliminary charges of dealing meth, legend drug deception, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, a false identity statement, and a Bartholomew County warrant.
