COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Educators Association (CEA) and Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) reached a tentative agreement this week that will increase the salary scale for all BCSC teachers by about 12.5% over two years.
If the contract is approved, salaries will range from $42,000 to $87,935 during the 2021-22 school year and $44,600 to $90,000 in the 2022-23 school year. Teacher salaries currently stretch from $39,065 to $85,000.
The new agreement means that all CEA teachers on the current salary schedule will see a raise of $2,935 during the first year of the agreement and increases will range from $2,800 to $3,800 during the second year.
The BCSC board is expected to approve the tentative agreement at its Monday, October 25 meeting.
