COLUMBUS, Ind. – On Monday, the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) board officially approved an increase in teacher salaries over the next two years. Last week the Columbus Educators Association (CEA) and BCSC tentatively agreed to increase the earnings for all teachers by about 12.5% over the period.
The new pact means that all CEA teachers on the current salary schedule will see a raise of $2,935 during the first year of the agreement and increases will range from $2,800 to $3,800 during the second year.
Compensation will range from $42,000 to $87,935 during the 2021-22 school year and $44,600 to $90,000 in the 2022-23 school year. Teacher salaries currently stretch from $39,065 to $85,000.
