SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has awarded the city of Seymour $893,551.48 in its second round of Community Crossings Matching Grant funds for road and bridge projects.
The INDOT amount will be matched by the Seymour Redevelopment Commission and result in nearly $2 million for road maintenance including reconstruction of Phillips Lane and the paving of a total of about five miles of other city streets.
The projects will go out to bid this month and be awarded by the end of the year. Work should begin in the spring and be completed by early fall 2022.
