COLUMBUS, Ind. – Centra Credit Union recently distributed over $100,000 in grants to several local non-profits to further their missions. The organizations were nominated by Centra Team Members who feel passionate about the work these groups do in the community.
The following organizations received a grant of $2,500 this year: Advocates for Children, ASAP of Bartholomew County, Bartholomew County Humane Society, Beloved, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartholomew County, Community Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.), Columbus Fireman’s Cheer Fund, Columbus Police and Fire Youth Academy, Foundation for Youth, Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center, Love Chapel, and Su Casa.
Some organizations were nominated by multiple teams and are receiving more than one grant. Our Hospice and Sans Souci were both awarded $5,000, and Turning Point was presented with $7,500.
“Non-profit organizations are valuable assets to our communities, and we’re excited to help them achieve their missions,” said Centra Community Involvement Officer Jenni Carr.
