COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus East Food Pantry will have a community food distribution this Friday, November 19, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., for drive-up distribution of pre-bagged collections of food.
There is enough food to feed 220 families and several of the items can be incorporated into a Thanksgiving meal.
Columbus Animal Services will also be handing out limited amounts of pet food. In addition, Columbus East senior Taylor Deaton will be distributing winter coats, one per car, as her senior project comes to fruition.
The Columbus East Food Pantry is available to the entire community and is not limited to BCSC families. The pickup point is door 31, in the west parking lot behind the school near the tennis courts. The Columbus East Food Pantry is a Gleaners school-based food pantry.
