COLUMBUS, Ind. – Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County (HFBC) recently presented $107,500 in grants from the Community Fund to local nonprofit organizations as part of its third-quarter grants cycle.
The Salvation Army of Columbus received $45,000 for roof repairs; the Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress got $35,000 for strategic planning; Recover Out Loud received $20,000 for its new fitness center; and Family Service, Inc. was awarded $7,500 for strategic planning.
Through the support of community members, HFBC annually distributes $600,000 to $700,000 in grants to local nonprofits from the unrestricted Community Fund.
