COLUMBUS, Ind. – Hope Elementary School 6th graders recently pitched in to assist those who are less fortunate by collecting 1,168 non-perishable food items for the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) 2021 “Pack-A-Patrol-Car.”
The kids accumulated so many items that BCSO Capt. Dave Steinkoenig had to pick up the stash with his truck.
The annual event ends today, Monday, November 22, but you can still donate. Drop off your non-perishable food items at the sheriff’s office, 543 Second St., in Columbus.
If you have several articles that you need to be picked up, someone from BCSO will come to your residence to retrieve them. For pickup service, call 812-379-1650.
