NORTH VERNON, Ind. – In early November, Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives began an investigation into attempted trafficking of controlled substances into the Jennings County Jail.
Authorities released information on Monday afternoon that the investigation concluded last Thursday when JCSO deputies arrested Jenna S. McGinnis, 45, of St. Paul. She had allegedly tried to traffic an estimated eight grams of a controlled substance into the Jennings County Jail by transferring it to an inmate at the Jennings County Courthouse. Detectives were able to intercept the drugs and McGinnis before the transfer occurred.
The sheriff’s office says the inquiry continues and more arrests are expected in this case.
McGinnis is preliminarily charged with conspiracy to deal a level three controlled substance, trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and forgery.”
