SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Indiana State Police (ISP) and K9 Jinx conducted two traffic stops on I-65 in Jackson County, on Monday, which supposedly led to the discovery of multiple types of illegal drugs. Two out-of-state residents were arrested on numerous charges.
The first incident occurred at 11 a.m. on I-65, near the 50-mile marker, when a trooper pulled over a vehicle traveling nearly 100 mph. K9 Jinx alerted to the odor of illegal drugs inside. Suspected heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and two firearms were allegedly found. The driver, Tony Jackson, 63, of Michigan, was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine with a firearm, possession of a narcotic drug with a firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a handgun without a permit.
At around 2:30 p.m., the same trooper stopped a car on I-65 for an infraction. K9 Jinx was again deployed and alerted to illegal drugs. ISP supposedly located suspected ecstasy, MDMA, LSD, psychedelic mushrooms, ketamine, marijuana, drug-related items, and over $600 in US currency. The driver, Nabeel Husari, 29, of Tennessee, was taken into custody for dealing in controlled substances, possession of controlled substances, dealing drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
