FRANKLIN, Ind. – MSN.com, in its travel and trip ideas section, recently rated the best charming small cities in each of the 50 United States. Franklin was honored with that distinction in the Hoosier state.
The website said about the city, “Located about 20 miles south of Indianapolis, Franklin’s beautiful downtown is unmissable. A recent county-wide survey revealed the city boasts almost 300 19th-century Queen Anne homes and other buildings of historic significance. One of the most prominent is the ornate Johnson County Courthouse.”
MSN.com continued, “Home to 25,000 people, Franklin isn’t short on outdoor attractions either. The sprawling Blue Heron Park and Wetland are enjoyed not only by citizens but by birds and wildlife.”
