EVANSVILLE, Ind. – It was announced Wednesday that First Midwest Bank is now officially a division of Old National Bank. The merger was first reported last summer. Based on assets, the combined company creates the sixth-largest commercial bank headquartered in the midwest, with more than $46 billion of combined assets.
“The completion of this partnership marks a historic milestone for both Old National and First Midwest,” said Jim Ryan, CEO of Old National. “We are excited to bring our two companies together to benefit our clients, team members, communities, and shareholders.”
The combined organization will operate under the Old National Bancorp and Old National Bank names, with dual headquarters in Evansville and Chicago. Clients will continue to be served through their respective Old National or First Midwest branches, websites, mobile apps, and financial advisors until July 2022.
Old National has two locations in Columbus and several more in central and south-central Indiana.
