COLUMBUS, Ind. – After the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) revised Indiana’s COVID-19 protocols on Thursday, the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) released the following response.
School officials said they have been informed that all decisions regarding COVID-19 mitigation strategies are now local ones. Given this update from the IDOH and a decrease in positive cases around the district, BCSC will move from “masks required” to “masks optional” beginning Tuesday, February 22. Due to federal requirements, masks will remain required for students and staff on school buses.
With the change to a “masks optional” policy, parents are reminded to keep children home if sick.
