COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) has recently added Mako SmartRobotics and ROSA Knee System, two new comprehensive surgical services, to its team. The state-of-the-art robotically-assisted surgical systems enhance joint replacement procedures.
Both robotics systems leverage surgeon expertise to provide finite precision, less invasive measures, plus a faster and easier recovery time.
ROSA Knee helps in total knee replacement surgery. It enables surgeons to use computer and software technology to control surgical instruments, allowing greater precision and flexibility during procedures.
Mako SmartRobotics combines three key components into one platform that has shown better outcomes for total knee, total hip, and partial knee patients.
CRH is the only medical facility in south-central Indiana to offer both the ROSA and Mako robotic surgery systems. Orthopedists at the hospital have already begun using the systems in surgeries.
