NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is thanking the Scott County Sheriff’s Office for the ongoing partnership between the two agencies and also the special gift Scott County presented to JCSO.
Scott County recently DONATED one of its Light Armored Vehicles (LAV) it had received through the Law Enforcement Support Office program. The Department of Defense is required to make various items of equipment like the LAV available to local police agencies.
In the past, Jennings County has conducted several high-risk search warrants with Scott County and the two SWAT teams have partnered to pool resources in order to be more effective and have more manpower when needed. Jennings County Sheriff Kenny Freeman stated, “We will continue to build teams with other agencies to increases our capabilities”.
