COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Columbus woman was arrested on felony drug charges Wednesday night after her vehicle was stopped by the Columbus Police Department (CPD).
Officers pulled over a vehicle driven by Cindy I. Adorno, 45, of Columbus, for a minor traffic violation near Tally Road and Valley Forge Avenue, just after 7:30 p.m.
Police say a K9 officer alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from her vehicle. Law enforcement allegedly recovered approximately 13 grams of fentanyl that the suspect had concealed in her clothing.
Adorno was taken into custody and transported to Bartholomew County Jail where she was charged with dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Intelligence-Led Policing Unit, a combined force consisting of officers from CPD and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, assisted with this ongoing investigation.
