EDINBURGH, Ind. – The National Weather Service (NWS) has put a Flood Warning into effect from Wednesday evening into Friday afternoon for the Driftwood River near Edinburgh. Minor flooding is forecast.
Lowland flooding begins along portions of the Driftwood River in northern Bartholomew County, near County Road 950N. On Tuesday morning, the river was at 6.4 feet and it is expected to rise above the flood stage of 11 feet late Wednesday to a crest of 11.8 feet by Thursday morning. It will then fall below the flood stage early Friday morning.
According to NWS, Youngs Creek at Amity will also see minor flooding late Tuesday before waters recede below flood stage on Wednesday.
