COLUMBUS, Ind. – Canadian bus manufacturer Letenda officially welcomed its new generation of zero-emission transit buses late last week.
Powered by Cummins, the Electrip® is the first model in the Letenda line of battery-electric transit buses designed specifically to operate in Canadian winter conditions using electric propulsion. It accommodates up to 45 people.
The bus uses the Cummins electrified powertrain solution, including powertrain controls, battery packs providing 222kWh capacity, propulsion motor, power electronics, charging controls, and connectivity systems.
Cummins and CEO Tom Linebarger were featured last week in an article on Forbes.com about how the company is an industry leader in going more green and more electric. Read the Forbes piece here.
