COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced Saturday that it will no longer require the wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.
Given this update from the CDC and a continued decrease in positive cases recently, the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) and Franklin Community Schools are moving to “masks optional” for staff and students on buses effective immediately.
With “masks optional” in all environments now, parents are reminded to keep children home when ill.
BCSC officials said, “Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to move forward together.”
