COLUMBUS, Ind. – An overdose at a Columbus house on Monday afternoon led to three people being jailed after narcotics and paraphernalia were found in the home.
The Columbus Police Department (CPD) responded to a report of an overdose at a residence in the 900 block of California Street just after 5:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they discovered a woman who was unresponsive and not breathing. CPD administered two rounds of Narcan and used an Ambu-Bag to assist the woman with breathing. She was soon revived and later transported to Columbus Regional Health for treatment.
Inside the home, police allegedly observed methamphetamine and drug-related items in plain sight. After obtaining a search warrant, they arrested three individuals, all from Columbus.
Kate N. Thomas, 25, was charged with possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug injection device, and visiting a common nuisance. Robert C. Arney, 48, was booked for maintaining a common nuisance, possession of meth, possession of a syringe, obstruction of justice, and possession of paraphernalia. Shelby B. Yates, 25, was busted for visiting a common nuisance.
