COLUMBUS, Ind. – The National Weather Service (NWS) says that south-central Indiana, including Columbus, Franklin, North Vernon, and Seymour, could receive 2 to 3 inches of snow on Friday afternoon and evening.
The precipitation will start as rain just after lunchtime and turn to snow as temperatures drop late in the afternoon. The light snow should end before midnight.
As winds increase overnight, NWS says the wind chill factor will make it feel like single digits early Saturday.
The snow won’t be around long as Sunday starts a warming trend with temps climbing to 70 by mid-week.
