COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) arrested three occupants of a vehicle after it was pulled over for a violation early Thursday morning. CPD stopped a car driven by Michael R. Jorgensen, 41, of Fountaintown, at 7th and California Streets, at 12:50 a.m.
He originally gave a fake name. Police later determined his true identity and confirmed two warrants for his arrest. Officers searched the suspect’s clothing and allegedly found methamphetamine and drug-related items.
A passenger also falsely identified herself but was soon confirmed as Shara M. Turnbloom, 30, of Edinburgh. She also had a warrant for her arrest.
A juvenile, who was reported as a runaway, was also in the vehicle and was taken into custody.
The adults were arrested and taken to Bartholomew County Jail. Michael Jorgensen was booked for possession of meth, possession of a legend drug injection device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the two warrants. Turnbloom was charged with false informing and the outstanding warrant.
