COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) announced Monday that Columbus Signature Academy New Tech High School senior Piper Parks was the winner of the 5th annual “Project Pigasus” high school screenwriting contest.
Project Pigasus is a state-wide competition hosted by Indiana-based film company Pigasus Pictures. Hoosier students, grades 9-12, submit short screenplays, a winner is chosen, and Pigasus brings a professional film crew to the recipient’s town to fully produce his or her movie.
Students are involved in every phase of production. Upon completion, the short film is shown before select in-state screenings of Pigasus Pictures’ feature films, submitted to film festivals nationwide, and is subsequently released online.
