COLUMBUS, Ind. – An ongoing narcotics investigation triggered the activation of Columbus Police Department (CPD) SWAT Monday night and ended with two arrests.
CPD SWAT, comprised of Columbus Police officers and Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies, served a warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Reed Street at around 8:40 p.m. Jennifer L. Goldman, 36, and Michael E. Ames, 39, both of Columbus, were apprehended.
Law enforcement allegedly recovered methamphetamine and drug-related items inside the home. The suspects were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.
Ames was charged with dealing in meth. Goldman was booked on two counts of dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a syringe, and maintaining a common nuisance.
